How branding made O'made!

O’made creates frozen single-serve portions of Indian curry dishes by allowing customers to add in their favourite meat, fish, or vegetables as the final step, thereby retaining their core freshness.

Fudd was approached by O'Made to creatively build a brand identity for the newly launching range of products. O’made products are curated in collaboration with the industry expert Chef Lata, who is one among the first lady chefs of the country.

Fudd proudly worked on branding, logo, package design and directed the photography. We helped the brand to create a customer base in South India and the Middle East. This unique concept by O’Made required the right brand identity to attract its niche market of young working-class adults. To achieve that, the designers at Fudd chose to keep a minimalistic yet effective design strategy for the packaging. The warm-earthy colour scheme adopted for the brand is akin to the actual colours of Indian cuisine, especially of the familiar curry dishes found in Indian households. This hopes to bring a sense of nostalgia to the customers, who are probably away from their homes and families. The minimalist eye-catchy designs on the packaging display the main ingredients of the dish, allowing easy identification at a single glance.

The logo design of O’Made is kept simple, clean and modern much like what the brand signifies, using sans-serif typography. The tagline, ‘Meals made easy!’ was curated based on the company’s strategy of simplifying meals for their target audience, who prefer a healthy alternative to cooked meals due to their busy schedules.
